ten more days. 0816hrs Listening to: John Mayer Trio - Try! (2005) WIth just 10 days to go before the end of the year, I'm trying to cram in as many albums for my year-end review/awards! Also concurrently listening to: Texas - Red Book (2005) and Ryan Adams - 29 (2005) This year, I'll only be reviewing and handing out awards to artistes who have put out albums in 2005 that I've listened to in full. It's going to be exciting! Watch out for it. ;)

SPECIAL FEATURE happy 60th, dads. text by hucks || pictures by shucks and tmlee This was a really special weekend - my dad celebrated his 60th birthday with more than 40 members of the extended family. Nope you're not seeing double! My dad's twin brother also celebrated his birthday. Heheh. :) The festivities began early Friday morning. While some worked: ... others just slept. But generally, everyone was in a pleasant mood. Case in point: my four-year-old niece, who normally doesn't like to talk me, suddenly became my new best friend. Haha... (more)

seaside weekend. 1443hrs Listening to: Merry - Refrain ~doyoubi no namida~ I'm writing this at a chalet by the seaside. :D My dad is celebrating his 60th birthday this weekend... so there's going to be a birthday party this evening. dinner at jon's. 1202hrs Listening to: N'Sync - I Want You Back Alright, so I can't cook. But my bro jon sure can! Two nights ago, he whipped up a storm in the kitchen for us. :D The evening started ominously. Be safe, not sorry. :X But the food was pretty damn good! On the menu: potato salad, honey chicken wings, portobello mushrooms with cheese, baked chicken thighs, and corned beef (free Po Chai pills thrown in). The chef for the day! Thanks for the free delicious meal bro. :)
