Listening to:

L'Arc~en~Ciel - The Fourth Avenue Cafe [single] (1996)

I was reading old entries again... and I decided to try this quiz that she took a few months back. The results... hmmm.

• agent s. is the one that you love.
• You care most about xiggy.
eggplant is the one who knows you very well.
alvin is your lucky star.
• "fourth avenue cafe" is the song that matches with agent s.
• "collide is the song" that tells you most about YOUR mind.
• and "angels" is the song telling you how you feel about life.

WHOA. Scary, this. How uncanny...

Now, will you tell me what the lyrics of "Fourth Avenue Cafe" mean? It sounds nice but I dunno the words...

Any team who comes back from three goals down in the second half against mighty Milan deserves to win. Congratulations to Liverpool!

Listening to: Lucie Silvas - Breathe In

Just some pictures from Monday!

Star Wars Lego style! Also got blue lightsabers, but the green ones are nicer.

She spent 20 bucks on a music magazine, 'cos these guys were on the cover...

At the pizza restaurant, some kid blatantly munched on his Filet-O-Fish® meal while his father was ordering! :O

[editor's note #1: the word "fillet" in "Filet-O-Fish" has only one 'L'!
editor's note #2: suddenly feel like eating FOF D:]

I'm not a pizza fan... but it was quite nice! (y)

After she finished her four slices, I was still eating my third... :X

Listening to: Erasure - Don't Say You Love Me

Reporter's instinct: see something, just shoot it!

We were at Kinokuniya on Monday afternoon 'cos my sis had asked me to get a novel for her... when the most extraordinary real-life drama occurred.

I could not remember who the author was, so we were just browsing around the General Fiction area. Suddenly, our attention was drawn towards two men in their 20s, who at first seemed to be wrestling playfully with each other.

But it wasn't for fun! One of the guys (quite small-sized but looks like he could kick some serious a**) slammed the other one (bespectacled, skinny, mousy-looking) onto the floor! The sound of human bones and motorcycle helmets hitting the floor shocked everyone, and the normally busy store fell into a hush.

Sharon tugged at my sleeve. "I'm scared," she whispered, "but I also want to see what's happening!"

Tsk tsk.

Small guy said to noone in particular: "Get his handphone! Get his handphone!" Two other men tried to pin mousy guy down but boy was he feisty! He managed to squirm out of the scrum and bolted... but by this time the Kino security uncles guards had arrived and they managed to subdue mousy guy, who by now had been roughed up, slammed against books, tables and shelves, and generally been severely humiliated.

At this point, the security personnel said to the gathered crowd (at least 50 people): "Err, just carry on shopping guys..."

Hahaha, right.

We never found out what was mousy guy's misdemeanour though. What had the handphone have to do with it? Were any of you at Kino (Ngee Ann City store) on Saturday afternoon at about 4.30pm?

Listening to: John Legend - Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing

Where has the weekend gone? (w)

Anyways, Saturday is truly the most precious day of the week right now... and I'm glad the one just past was pretty fulfilling and action-packed (in all senses of the word), haha...

We went cycling again! Haha... it's becoming quite fun once you know how to, well, cycle. Heheh. I'm not sure how far we went though... from the Big Splash to the Fort Road exit of the ECP, turned back and pedalled all the way to Bedok Jetty, then back to the Big Splash in just under two hours. Was a great workout (no morning-after aches and pains this time, yay!) and a nice cloudy day...

Oh, and I must mention that we witnessed three teenage boys jumping repeatedly from the jetty into the sea. They would take a short run-up before leaping over the railing gracefully... was quite a sight! One of them even did a somersault before hitting the water, hahaha.

After that, we rented Episode IV from one of those vending maching thingies! It's really quite cool haha. Watching it was kinda surreal though... it's the DVD quality Special Edition, so the images were crisp and clear (not so much the sound though). The movie is 28 years old! Wow...

And it shows, really. C3-PO and R2-D2 look like the Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz and a dirty dustbin respectively... haha. The first 20 minutes were really boring... most of the "dialogue" (if you can call it that) came from C3-PO talking to R2-D2, who only beeps annoyingly all the time. Haha. :X

The fight sequences were pretty okay for a 28-year-old film, and Harrison Ford was the real star of the film for me, with his wisecracks and debonair attitude... no wonder he was chosen to be Indiana Jones in later years.

Hope to watch the rest of the episodes soon.

After the movie (which took quite long to get through, had to pause a couple of times 'cos someone couldn't stay awake :X), we had a late dinner of Teochew porridge near my place, and an even later supper barely two hours later at Chomp Chomp with my bros. What really struck me about the day was how quiet everywhere was... guess a lot of people were out of town for the long weekend.

So yeah, it was a Very Good Day again. Wish every day was Saturday...
