Listening to: Howie Day - I'll Take You On

Justin's new car is here... a chilli-red Honda City! Took a short spin in it last night... not bad. Hopefully it brings me luck! :D

Had lunch with Jon and Ivan... while we were at Cheers buying 4-D, Jon decided to try his luck at Scratchit!, the scratch-and-(hopefully)win game from Singapore Pools.

It looks like any one of those normal scratch-and-win cards lah, and costs a dollar each. But as you can see, you can "win up to $10,000".

You have to scratch the "stamp" part of the card and see what's underneath. If you have three identical values on the card, you will win that amount lor. Simple right?

The results! Jon has three $2 values on his card, so he won $2! After which he promptly queued up again (for about 15 minutes) and collected his "windfall".

Lucky Jon! Hopefully I will be as lucky tonight or this weekend, heheh. ;)

Listening to: Yuko Yamaguchi - I Believe

After agent s' first day at work yesterday, we met up at Bishan for dinner and dessert. :)

In one word: overrated.

This was nice though. (According to her)

To avoid the paparazzi lurking around Junction 8, we put on our best disguises:

Yes, that's actually us. :O She's wearing a short wig and I'm wearing glasses. Can't recognise right! :P

Whoa! She never looked this good when reading the news... heheh. And that car! Swanky.

Whaddya think?

I'm quite happy to have come up with this, taking my limited HTML knowledge into consideration. Just a few things I'd like to improve:

1) Most importantly, the original template had a white background. I dunno how I changed it to grey, lol. White is nicer right? Hmmm...

2) I want to shift the whole sidebar more to the right of screen. As it is now, this layout looks better in IE than Mozilla, wth. (w)

3) Yeah that's about it! I'm easily satisfied, hoho.

Anyone can help? Comments please! :)

Listening to: Five For Fighting - Superman

So the long weekend came and went, and almost everyone I know is back at work. Here's just a sneak peek and what I've been up to the past seven days or so! :)

A visit to the Esplanade always yields good pictures somehow... the outdoor theatre area is especially nice for just sitting around and talking about everything under the sun. Otherwise, there's always the art displays inside to look at!

There was also my first visit to the Botanic Gardens for a long, long time. There were swans in the Swan Lake! And a duck (the Ugly Duckling perhaps? lol)! And turtles! On TV, there was Slimy the worm. Anyone can tell me what show Slimy is from? ;)

Of course, yummy food... homemade cookies, chicken Caesar salad (starting to develop a liking for this), and ultra sinful kong ba bao (fatty pork buns)! (y)

Even though the card she's holding says "Buy me stuff!", she never made me buy anything for her, hoho. Thanks for hanging out with me so much last week... :)

Listening to: Swing Girls - Sing Sing Sing

It's been many a year since I last indulged in the mountain of sin found at this little place in Siglap:

(thanks to MakanGuru for the reminder and photo credit!)

If anyone else is game for some cheesecake on any night this week (except tonight, got plans already), just leave a message!

Listening to:

Muse - Unintended [single] (2000)

So, Coldplay's new single is out... doesn't break any new ground, from what I've heard. Anyway, if I really wanted to listen to a true melancholic voice, I'd listen to Muse.

Whenever I hear anything from this British band, I'd think of NeLi, who introduced me to them with the one song, "Unintended". Sends shivers down the spine, this one. I kinda like the lyrics too...

You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You could be the one I’ll always love

You could be the one who listens
To my deepest inquisitions
You could be the one I’ll always love

ant tobe may want to check them out. ;)

Just downloaded the tab from UltimateGuitar.com, one of the better guitar tab archives on the Net. A first trial run on the Ovation sounds pretty good... maybe I'll go scare agent s. tonight with my demo version of "Unintended", hahaha. :X
